We are proud to inform you that Kuehne+Nagel will celebrate every employee’s birthday by supporting the efforts of Healthy Seas to tackle the ghost-fishing phenomenon around the globe. Every year, 640,000 tons of fishing gear that are lost or abandoned in the world’s seas and oceans, killing millions of marine animals.
The nets recovered by Healthy Seas do not end up in a landfill but instead are upcycled by its partners to create new, sustainable products.

This year also marks a birthday milestone for Healthy Seas as they celebrate 10 years of action to protect the seas. We are excited about this partnership and opportunity to make a difference and have an impact for the future!
Kuehne+Nagel is committed to sustainability and the protection of the environment. To achieve this, we have set ambitious environmental targets and are transitioning to a zero carbon business model.
As part of this promise and commitment, we are supporting Healthy Seas efforts to clean up the oceans and educate about marine pollution caused by lost fishing gear, the deadliest form of marine litter.
Your personal contribution: For global impact throughout the year, underwater cleanups and educational programmes with the support of Kuehne+Nagel are planned in 8 countries, covering 4 continents.
Kuehne+Nagel employees are welcomed to join these activities. Interested parties should reach out to [email protected]
