Hammer specialist stores support Healthy Seas

15 November 2019

We are very proud of our cooperation with Hammer who has joined Healthy Seas as an Associate Partner Member.

Hammer, as an environmentally conscious company, donates 50 cents per square meter of every Sedna (by Associated Weavers) carpet sold, to support Healthy Seas. Sedna carpets are made from ECONYL®, the regenerated yarn made from waste fishing nets and other nylon waste.

Hammer considers it extremely important to treat the environment with care, and as such, is mindful of using certified products to facilitate sustainable and responsible use of raw materials. This encourages the development of innovative goods such as carpets made from ECONYL®. With every Sedna carpet sold, Hammer’s customers are helping to keep the ocean clean and save its inhabitants.

We extend our support by donating 50 cents to Healthy Seas for every square meter of Sedna carpet sold. A contribution to nature conservation is always a good investment. It’s important promote sustainability and adhere to ecological standards,” says Wernfried Fesenberg, Managing Director of Schlau Heimtex Einkaufs GmbH and initiator of the Hammer donation campaign. “Both people and companies should be active in conserving the environment. Supporting the “Healthy Seas” is a great opportunity to do so because you can decorate your home and do something good at the same time.
