Healthy Seas Welcomes Second Ascent

Bridging Peaks and Depths for a Cleaner Planet

We’re thrilled to announce Second Ascent as the newest member of the Healthy Seas family!

This inspiring German brand of climbing apparel shares our commitment to protecting the planet—not just through the sport of climbing but by caring for the oceans that connect us all. For Second Ascent, respecting the environment means looking beyond mountain peaks to protect the vast blue depths of our seas.

As Second Ascent explains, “We decided to partner with Healthy Seas because as climbers, we don’t just care about the mountains—we care about the environment as a whole, and the oceans are a vital part of it. Healthy Seas shares these values, and their expertise in recovering and recycling marine waste with their partner, allows us to source sustainable materials and create climbing equipment that’s good for both athletes and the planet.”

Launching with a line of high-quality climbing gear made also from plastic recovered from the ocean, Second Ascent brings their passion for adventure into harmony with their love for the planet. By teaming up with Healthy Seas, they’re taking bold steps to reduce waste and champion conservation at every level. Their mission—uniting a dedication to climbing with a commitment to fair, sustainable production—resonates deeply with us.

Welcome, Second Ascent, to this shared journey that spans from mountain peaks to ocean depths. Together, we’re making strides toward a cleaner, more resilient planet for all.

Note about the product: The belt and it’s fixation is made from ECONYL recycled nylon. The inner and outer fabric are both SEAQUAL fabrics (PES 100% recycled).
