Healthy Seas is back from three busy days at the ISPO 2014 trade fair and exhibition in Munich, Germany. More than 80,000 visitors from 110 countries, went to see 2,565 exhibitors on 104,720 square meters of exhibit space.

This was the first time we had the opportunity to participate, and it was such an exciting experience to present our initiative and raise awareness on issues like marine protection, social responsibility and new possible sustainable textiles.

Our booth had two main panels that represented the problem of ghost fishing nets and how we bring them back to life through the ECONYL® Regeneration System, that transforms recovered fishing nets into 100% regenerated ECONYL® yarn.

The Healthy Seas booth was part of the Brands for Good area, a collaboration platform for social projects of brands, companies, associations and individuals of the sport industry. They created a booth-environment to come together, share, discover and inspire with what has been done and what will be done with respect to earth and human.

Thanks to this opportunity we had the chance to talk with many interested people and professionals, some of which are already approaching a more sustainable and ethical fashion.

The perceived energy was positive and gives us hope that in the future more and more companies will embrace projects with a positive impact on the environment.

Our ‘Journey from Waste to Wear’ continues with many ongoing activities.

Stay tuned!
