We are excited to announce that Onolua has joined the Healthy Seas Foundation as our newest supporting partner. Onolua, a brand dedicated to creating swimwear that inspires women to move freely and confidently, shares our commitment to sustainability. Their swimwear is made using ECONYL® yarn, a regenerated nylon made entirely from waste materials, including fishing nets recovered by Healthy Seas.

Lynne Korban, owner and founder of Onolua, shared her enthusiasm about the partnership:

“Onolua is proud to partner with Healthy Seas in yet another step towards our mission to protect the environment and promote sustainable practices. All our swimwear is made with ECONYL® yarn, making our partnership with Healthy Seas a pivotal part of our journey to reduce ocean waste and preserve the environment.”

About Onolua

Onolua’s mission is to create garments that inspire women to move freely and confidently. Their swimwear, designed and manufactured in Québec, Canada, uses high-end recycled fabrics from Italy. The collection, inspired by dance and movement, provides built-in support for ease of movement and a second-skin feel, catering to women of all shapes and sizes for both in and out of the water activities.

A Shared Vision for Sustainability

At Healthy Seas, our mission is to protect and restore the world’s oceans through cleanup, education, and prevention of marine litter. Since 2013, we have been tackling the issue of marine debris, particularly abandoned and discarded fishing nets. Our collaboration with Onolua strengthens our efforts in marine conservation, promoting the circular economy and reducing ocean waste.

Looking Ahead

We are thrilled to welcome Onolua to the Healthy Seas family. Together, we will drive innovation, foster awareness, and contribute to preserving our oceans for future generations.

Thank you, Onolua, for your commitment to sustainability. We look forward to the incredible work we will accomplish together.
