We are excited to welcome Girlfriend Collective on board the growing list of companies who support the mission of Healthy Seas. They will be donating 1% from every purchase of their new sustainable line to our work.

Girlfriend Collective is based in Seattle, Washington, and focuses on the production of minimal, luxurious, and eco-friendly active-wear. Part of their new collection is a sports bra and leggings set, made with ECONYL® yarn, which makes Girlfriend Collective one of the many garment designers and producers who use ECONYL® fibers to follow a more sustainable approach to fashion.

Co-founders of Ellie and Quang Dinh had this to say about our partnership: “Healthy Seas’s mission and impact resonated with us as a tangible way to do something about the ocean plastic epidemic. We represent a collective of women who care about our environment and want to do something to help preserve it; we understood partnering with Healthy Seas would help us do our part to make the world a better place.”

After the fishing nets are collected by Healthy Seas’ divers and fishermen, they are transported for cleaning to Nofir A.S and to Aquafil for regeneration into ECONYL® yarn. Healthy Seas is an open initiative which is developed using the learning-by-doing approach. We are open to creative ideas and new partners!
