We just finished two busy and successful days in London, participating at the Fashion SVP event on 16-17 January. The public and the industry showed great interest in the Healthy Seas initiative and the sustainable socks, which are produced by one of our founding partner, Star Sock. The socks are made of ECONYL® yarn (which is partially made of the fishing nets what we recover), organic cotton and elastane.

Fashion SVP is Europe’s unique sourcing event, with an international show presenting over 120 leading fashion producers from the UK and 21 overseas countries, PLUS training seminars, exciting trend focus features, product demonstrations, fashion clinics, a jobs forum and prime networking with the whole of the fashion industry.

We were also involved in a lively and inspiring panel discussion about sustainable and ethical sourcing, where the brand new Healthy Seas socks were presented as well by Eric Roosen, director of Star Sock.

Check out these socks together with other beautiful products such as swimwear, sportswear or carpets, made with the regenerated ECONYL® yarn by our partners from the fishnets that our divers and fishermen collect:

With your choice of buying something good and sustainable, you support our good cause. This way we can for example organize more sea clean-ups. You have the power to help clean the seas and save our marine wildlife!

“The ocean is, put simply, the planet’s life support system which is why it is so important that we protect its health.
